You’ll find an incredible community of survivors, thrivers and co-survivors at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®. Survivors, thrivers and co-survivors gather to celebrate and support one another in an atmosphere of genuine camaraderie. It is their inspiring spirit that energizes us to continue the fight to end breast cancer forever and their fundraising efforts that encourage other participants to be More Than Pink™ .
For more information on how to join the fight please visit our Fundraising 101 page to help raise funds to end this terrible disease.
What's New For Survivors & Thrivers this year
- Survivor medals & survivor finish line
We have created a special finish line for survivors and thrivers this year! As you finish the 5K Race course, look for the survivor finish line to receive your medal. There will be a table at the end of the 1-mile family walk where you can pick up your medal. *If you aren't walking or running this year, we will have survivor medals available for you in Hope Village during and after the Race
- Hope Village sponsored by Community Health Network
Visit Hope Village on Race day to enjoy some great new activities this year. See yoga and cooking demonstrations or get a massage, courtesy of Little Red Door's Door to Wellness program. Customize your own sign for the Pink Parade that tells how long you've been surviving and thriving. Sign a banner to thank our event sponsors, pop into one of our photo booths and enjoy refreshments by Starbucks. Gather at Hope Village by 7:15 am to line up for the Pink Parade!
- Mission tent
We combined the I Am Komen area with the grantee expo to make a bigger, better and more interactive educational experience at the Race. Stop by to get helpful information about community resources and to test your breast health knowledge for a chance to win a prize.
